As the year ends, we reflect on the profound impact of serving others well. What does it mean to extend a helping hand to those in need?
It's more than just providing assistance; it's about empowering individuals to improve their lives with dignity. In 1st John 3:18, "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." This scripture embodies the essence of our mission at Cadaniño, where love is not merely spoken but demonstrated through actions and grounded in truth.
Since our humble beginnings in 2016, we have come a long way. What started in a small garage with one teacher and 35 students has blossomed into a remarkable journey. Today, Cadaniño operates two Community Impact Centers, has a dedicated team of 16 teachers, and runs a comprehensive after-school program that serves 232 students from over 150 families, positively impacting nearly 1,000 lives each month.
At Cadaniño, our mission stands firmly on three core pillars:
Spiritual Formation: This year has seen remarkable growth. Our team conducted 424 Children's Bible Classes, led 371 Youth Bible Studies, and empowered 20 youths in our mission club to teach over 130 Bible classes in their communities. This reflects our commitment to discipleship, where students actively share their faith and serve others.
Academic Reinforcement: Our dedication to education shines through Academic Reinforcement. We provided 1,493 reinforcement classes, 372 STEM sessions, and 983 Computer classes, while students completed 138 computer courses. Students not only excel academically but also show a newfound interest in learning, reading over 2,250 books this year and completing 6,500 reading comprehension worksheets. Our innovative teaching methods, including LEGO Education and Khan Academy, have ignited a passion for knowledge.
Family Strengthening: In our ministry to families, we conducted 43 outreaches, undertook 200 home visits, distributed hundreds of emergency food packages, and served 27,000 meals. Central to our mission has been the building of meaningful relationships with those we serve, providing a platform for sharing the Gospel in depth. Our local teachers, deeply connected to the community, play a vital role in our success.
Paramount to our continued success is a commitment to hiring local teachers from within the communities we serve, teaching, training, and empowering them to be the hands and feet of Jesus daily. Their personal insight and heart for service have been instrumental in the growth we've seen in every area.
This year, we've made significant progress. Still, none of it would have been possible without the help, support, prayers, service, and donations of every person who partnered with Cadaniño in our journey to love others, serve them well, lead them to Christ, and empower them to live out the fullness of their lives in service to others.
We want to emphasize that the work we do at Cadaniño is not just about changing lives for the present; it's about transforming hearts and making an eternal impact. Each child we nurture, every family we strengthen, and all the lives we touch become part of a legacy of the love of God and the hope of salvation that extends far beyond our immediate reach.
